Long-life air filter system with HD2 filter ensures an excellent filtering effect, M-Tronic for optimum engine performance at all times &easy starting thanks to one start position&stop button function, captive nuts on the sprocket cover for quick &easy chain replacement, economical 2-Mix engine.

Stihl M-Tronic (M)

For a cold start,it only needs one start position on the combi-lever
After starting, you can immediately power up to full speed
The amount of fuel required is precisely calculated by the system &supplied as needed

Stihl ElastoStart

Due to compression pressure, jerky stresses occur when starting internal combustion engines
Damping element in the ElastoStart special starter grip alternately absorbs &releases force according to the compression pattern

Pre-separation Air Filtration System

Stihl long-life air filtration systems with pre-separation achieve perceptibly longer filter life compared with conventional filter systems
Larger, heavier particles are ejected
Pre-cleaned air is routed to the air filter via the pre-separator duct
Air drawn in is swirled

HD2 Filter

HD" filter keeps even the finest dust away from the engine,ensuring a particularly long service life
Filter can easily be cleaned by washing.

Advanced Combustion Technology

4 overflow channels swirl the fuel-air mix before ignition
Allowing for optimum combustion&highly efficient performance
Result is lower fuel consumption&high torque across a broad rpm range

Compensator

Controller in the carburettor prevents the fuel-air mixture getting richer as the air filter becomes clogged
Correct quantity of fuel is delivered to the carburettor depending on the quantity of air passing through the air filter
This keeps the fuel/air ratio in the combustion mixture constant&hence also the engine power
Filter doesn't need to be cleaned until an appreciable drop in power occurs

***USE 50:1 PETROL TO 2-STROKE MIX***

This means for every 1 litre of petrol you must mix 20ml of oil.

2-stroke engines generally don't have a separate oil reservoir for lubrication. So, in order to keep your 2-stroke engine lubricated the fuel must contain a certain amount of oil.

The petrol to oil ratio for your engine will be published by the manufacturer. Please check your user manual.
