The STIHL FUNCTION Core trousers (Class 1*, Design A**) are an ideal entry-level choice for private and professional chainsaw work. These newly designed trousers are comfortable, lightweight and breathable, making them an excellent choice for working in the forest, when sawing firewood or working in agriculture. 

These cut-protection trousers have a regular fit and are comfortable to wear over long working periods thanks to their low weight. They are constructed from a breathable material which helps keeps the wearer cool during work. The trousers are lightweight, durable and robust, providing a comfortable range of motion during use. The integrated cut-protection provides extra safety when working with your chainsaw. Kidney protection keeps you warm in cold temperatures and offers extra protection from scratches and impact to the lower back when working in difficult terrains. Plus, they have a PFAS-free water repellent finish. 

The trousers have reflective silver stripes, a neon green design on the back pocket and high-visibility orange accents for excellent visibility in poor light conditions.

You can attach STIHL braces to the FUNCTION Core trousers thanks to the buttons and loops on the waistband. The two side pockets are easily accessible, and the trousers also have a back pocket, thigh pocket and a ruler pocket – meaning there is plenty of space for gloves and other accessories. 

*Class 1 protection - the most common level found on chainsaw protective trousers and offers protection from chain speeds up-to 20 m/s. 

**Design A - features protective material in the front leg area. It does not provide protection at the back of the leg.

  Cut protection trousers with design A in accordance with EN ISO 11393, have cut protection that covers your front lower body and 5 cm of the back left leg. Design A is intended for use in normal wood harvesting work by pros who have been thoroughly trained and instructed, for example.
• Ventilated Openings FOR COMFORTABLE WEAR.
  Comfortable body temperature varies depending on the individual, their current physical activity and the ambient temperature. Integrated ventilation openings allow body heat to be released from clothing as required, ensuring a high level of comfort and a pleasant internal climate.
• Breathability WICKS EXCESS BODY HEAT TO THE OUTSIDE.
  Its breathable material makes it comfortable to wear, even when you’re working hard. This is because moisture is wicked to the outside, while fresh air is let in. Cut Protection Rating 1 For Chainsaws Cut protection clothing is classified in 4 cut protection ratings in accordance with EN ISO 11393. The cut protection rating specifies the maximum chain speed tested in accordance with standard conditions. Rating 1 corresponds to a chain speed of 20 m/s.
• Stretch Zones MORE FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT.
  Important movement zones on your work trousers are provided by means of flexible material, so that you will always enjoy very comfortable wear.
• Reflective Areas BETTER VISIBILITY. Reflective areas not only look good on your protective clothing, but also increase your safety. They mean that you will always be easy to see, even in the dark or in the forest.
