Nano & Pico mode, with High Frequency Agitation:

The new Orion Pulse 200 i2  is among the most intelligent welding packages ever produced by Sunstone Engineering.   The new Orion 200 i2 is built on an Android tablet platform, and glides with the simple touch of your fingers.  This welder has 5 welding systems built in that allow for welding on a larger spectrum than ever before. The built in welding modes are:

The Orion 200 i2 has three different modes of delivery for your welds.

  1. Single pulse mode, delivering one weld at a time, on an ‘On demand’ time frame.
  2. Rapid fire mode, offering up to 5 welds per second, on demand.
  3. Seam mode, offering up to 30 welds per second, on demand.

The Orion 200 i2 is in a class of its own, even when compared to our other Orion products.   From the stout, but slim arm that holds the weld head and all of its controls up, to the smooth glide of the features and control screen.  The 200 i2 has more ability to provide the smallest and gentlest of welds for filigree, as well as the large power needed in Triangle mode to give deep strong welds on Platinum.

The Orion 200 i2 has three new wave forms to choose from, to dictate the way your energy is introduced into your work piece:

  1. Classic wave form: to replicate the experience that you may have encountered or be accustom to from one of our other Orion welders.
  2. Triangle wave form: to allow for very concentrated and deep welds, even for the most difficult of metals.
  3. Square wave form: for that gentle touch.  It carries a very low peak energy, keeping the heat down to preserve delicate substrates, but it maintains that low peak for a longer time, still allowing for the introduction of enough heat to do the job.

Ultra Pulse Arc mode, for the larges spot sizes & difficult metals.

Micro Pulse Arc mode, for delicate welding needs.

Nano Pulse Arc mode, for welding on a micro level with very fine & thin items.

Pico mode, for those ever so small needed welds.

Tack Mode (resistance welder), for quick & temporary weld joints.
