The Makita BL1013 is a slide on battery with Foam Cell Technology. It is firm holding with multi contacts. It will not puncture and remains cool even during periods of prolonged heavy use. Lightweight and shock-absorbing. The Lithium-ion has a minimal depletion of power during use or in storage over its lifetime. The Lithium-ion range delivers 430 percent more working capacity during its lifetime compared to Ni-Cad and is 40 percent Lighter than Ni-MH.
